Thank you to our generous donors and community members who have entrusted Miami County Foundation to award several scholarships to positively impact the educational paths of our local students! Hundreds of Miami and Darke County, Ohio students have benefited from their incredible financial support.

Scholarship applications are available online only and must be completed by the deadline. Please click the appropriate application button(s) below to learn more and to apply. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Scholarship review committees will make award determinations in spring. Recipients will be notified at their local high school award ceremony in May or by mail. Miami County Foundation may send recipients updates throughout the year via e-mail; please check your spam folder regularly.

Miami County Foundation's office is located in Piqua, Ohio and serves the people of Miami County and the surrounding area. Criteria, award amounts and deadlines are subject to change.

The Thelma Ross Dalton Memorial Scholarship provides funding to selected residents of Miami County to further their post-secondary education at an accredited college, trade/vocational or nursing/health-related facility. High school seniors AND currently-enrolled post-secondary education students are eligible to apply. ex: 2023 - 28 awards, $2,400 avg.

(This one is not for graduating high school seniors.) The Miami County Medical Society Scholarship is awarded to selected residents of Miami County who have been accepted into an approved course of study to become a medical doctor (MD/DO) at an accredited MEDICAL SCHOOL, college or university. Applicants must have a 3.0+ GPA. Fellowships are not considered. MUST BE IN MEDICAL SCHOOL (entry-level) to apply. ex: 2023 - 1 award, $6,000

The Robert Netzley Scholarship was established for Darke and Miami County students of any level post-high school education whose career pursuit is in public service ex: government, not-for-profit, church, politics, health and safety, public service, education. Recipients may be eligible for renewal each year for three more years following. Renewable scholarship amounts are not guaranteed. ex: 2023 - 1 award, $700

The Marjorie Lyons Netzley Scholarship was created for Darke and Miami County students of any level post-high school education whose career pursuit is in health/medical fields. Recipient may be eligible for renewal each year for three more years following. Renewable scholarship amounts are not guaranteed. ex: 2023 - 1 award, $700

New in 2021, the Troy High School Band Scholarship is awarded to a Troy High School graduating senior who is a four-year band (or guard) student pursuing higher education in the field of STEM or Music (not to include choir or orchestra). Letter of recommendation from the Troy High School band director is required. ex: 2023 - 1 award, $2,500

The Leland and Shirley Mott Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a selected Troy High School/Troy Christian/Troy homeschool senior majoring in Art, Art History, Art Education or similar (Includes painting, drawing and sculpture. Excludes performing arts such as dance, music, acting, and also photography.) Must have a 3.0 GPA in art studies, submit a portfolio and art teacher recommendation. ex: 2023 - 1 award, $3,000

The Don Deeter, M.D. Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one student each year. Applicants must be a resident of Newton Township, OH and major in science, enrolled full-time at a four-year college/university. The scholarship is renewable for up to three more years of education. Renewable scholarship amounts are not guaranteed. ex: 2023 - 1 award, $4,000

The Newton Board of Education/American Legion Scholarship is presented to Newton High School seniors with exemplary character traits, work ethic and well-roundedness to further their post-high school education at a two or four-year institution of higher learning. 2.75+ GPA. Two letters of recommendation required. ex: 2023 - 1 award, $500

The Miami County Agriculture Leadership Fund Scholarship is awarded to Miami County graduating senior(s) seeking a degree in an agricultural study or related field. Applicants must have a 3.0+ GPA and be accepted to an accredited technical school, community college or four-year college/university and attending as a full-time student. ex: 2023 - 2 awards, $650 avg.

The Dorothy Bleil Richi Scholarship is awarded to a St. Patrick Catholic School (Troy) graduating 8th grade student enrolling at Lehman Catholic High School to continue his/her Catholic education. ex: 2023 - 1 award, $1,000

The Hundred Club of Miami County Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in any level of post-secondary education or field of study who are a legal dependent of a full-time/active-duty public safety officer (or of a public safety officer killed in action). A surviving spouse of a KIA public safety officer may also apply. The public safety officer must serve/have served in the Hundred Club of Miami County, Ohio service area. Applicant must attend an accredited technical school, community college or four-year college/university as a full-time student.
I am humbled and honored to have received the generous scholarship you have granted me! This scholarship will allow me to further my goals of earning a degree in mathematics at either Grace College or Georgetown College. I would like to thank those people responsible in making this decision!
