Letter From The President

The Miami County Foundation is like a savings account for the not-for-profit community where funds raised are invested within the community and the income is used to meet the current and
future charitable needs of our Miami County communities, not-for-profits & students.

Founded in 1985 as one man’s dream, the Miami County Foundation continues to grow as a community supported foundation supporting our motto “People Helping People. To date, the Foundation has distributed $7.2 million dollars to over 450 not-for-profit organizations and school projects. It would be very difficult to find someone in Miami County who has not been touched by the positive work of the Miami County Foundation.

As President I am extremely proud to be part of the Miami County Foundation and wish to extend an invitation for you to join us in providing the “savings account for the community” to
become part of “People Helping People”.

 Emergency Grant Application Program
Spring 2020

Due to the current events happening in our county, the Miami County Foundation has reevaluated our Spring Grant cycle to address the current need for humanitarian relief.  The Miami County Foundation will support our Miami County nonprofits in their efforts to provide additional enhanced services to counter the effects the coronavirus (COVID-19) is having on our Miami County friends and neighbors. Thus the “normal” spring grant cycle will not occur this year.

The funds previously budgeted for the spring grant cycle will now be used to support the Miami County Foundation’s Emergency COVID-19 Grant Program. The Miami County Foundation will immediately begin providing emergency COVID-19 funding (applications reviewed in the order they are received) to organizations supplying food, shelter, and other humanitarian needs.

Completed applications may be emailed to karen@miamicountyfoundation.org or mailed to P. O. Box 1526, Piqua, OH 45356.

Emergency grants may not be used for operating and/or payroll expenses.  Please refer to the SBA website for assistance https://www.uschamberfoundation.org/reports/coronavirus-response-resources#events

Sincerely,

Miami County Foundation Board of Directors
